Food Trips: Sutra Restaurant and Bar Bonifacio High Street
Finding a good place to relax and chill is quite hard in
the metro as for me because I need some quiet and less crowded venue for these
moments. This is why I became fond of going to High Street Central at The
Fort. The place is less crowded compared to some other destinations in the
metro, it also has a very nice and clean ambiance and most of all the food houses
are just something you might want to check one by one.
One of the restaurant we tried here was Sutra
Restaurant and Bar which is owned and operated by the same group behind Duo in
Serendra, Zuni in
Greenbelt and Asya Filipino Asian Restaurant. Sutra is the first restaurant that opened in Bonifacio High Street Central, Fort Bonifacio.
What actually makes us decide of choosing to dine here
is the name, we just find it interesting!. And then their theme, a very calming and
modern interior that awakens my inner exotic musings.
The staff are really nice and well trained, they also
have a wide range of menu that allowed the five of us to enjoy our lunch together despite
of our differences in taste. We order the sets for both meat and pasta dishes
because the price is quite high which almost feels like paying hotel rates.
While waiting for our food we enjoyed their complementary
bread which was very good, it is served
with hot butter. This alone actually filled my hunger for 10% haha.
After a few minutes we finally had our
Meat Lovers & Trio Pasta meal.
Their meat lovers fulfilled our cravings, all three are good but my personal favorite is the Crispy Pork Belly served with liver
sauce. GOSH! I can’t stop eating.
Meat Lovers - Crispy Pork Belly, Beef Rib Fingers and Marinated Boneless Chicken Served with Jasmine Rice, tomato salsa and liver sauce. Php895.00 |
Trio pasta - Linguine Aglio Olio with Vegetables, Fettuccine with Mushrooms and Bacon in Alfredo Sauce and Penne with Tuna Putanesca Sauce, served with garlic bread. Php775.00 |
We love the pastas and I ate a lot of their of Linguine Aglio Olio pasta and Fettuccine with Mushrooms (Creamy!).
We haven’t
tried any of their deserts because we are already full that we can’t afford loading more. Overall, it’s a nice place and we love our dining
experience here.J
