MOA by the Bay - Amusement Park.
Waking up early as the suns heat is already disturbing the good sleep for two hours or so, taken the breakfast with the kiddos at the house and enjoyed house talks for a bit when we realized that the daylight is so crisp that makes this an awesome day to go out with the kids and have fun under the sun. Since they are just here for a vacation we went to Mall of Asia to let them experience the biggest mall in Asia.
We took an MRT ride going to Taft Avenue and the ride with Lola and my sissy was fun, it was their first time so I am really excited for them to try the standing ride.
Okay – from Taft MRT station we took a jeepney ride to SM Mall of Asia which only took less than five minutes.
We finally arrived – so, picture-picture much for the bakasyonistas
It was summer that time so we decided to get some refresher first before strolling the mall.
We went to see a nice view at the back which seems to be more like bay walk.
Despite of the crispy sunny day we still insisted to spend a few minutes there since the breeze of the wind is really refreshing. And the view of the sea, the ships, yatch and the horizon is so lovely.
Later we went to try the tallest Ferris wheel in the Philippines – the MOA’s EYE a 160 feet tall gigantic Ferris wheel that will give you a nice overlooking view of Manila Bay. I heard that it cost a hundred before but we had the ride for Php 150.00 each – quite pricey for one round.
Lola (grandma) at first was afraid and is so reluctant to try it out – but no oldies would win against the five hyper grand daughters.
Now it’s up-up and away. I love this thing as it doesn’t move so fast, bad side is that going up seems to take forever. I love that each gondolas where equiped with air conditioning because it really moderates the heat of the day and makes the entire experience so relaxing.
This day inspires me to keep on going up-up and away. I don’t know how yet but I am sure I want to try the Singapore Flyer– it currently holds the title of the World’s tallest Ferris wheel standing at 540 feet high.
Manila bay is undeniably one of the most visited sight in the metro not only for the locals but also for the tourists. Last month aside from enjoying the MOA Eye which I’ve mentioned to be the tallest Ferris Wheel in the Philippines, my sisters and I also enjoyed the MOA by the bay amusement park– something like extension of bay-walk having the same stunning view of Manila bay.
This is another place I can suggest you consider when you’re out for a family bonding or even visiting Metro Manila. The scenery of the beach compelled with some easy yet fun outdoor activities for the kids. So my sisters never had a boring seconds here.
One of the few things you can do or try is the Motion Activated Scooter - Php 120.00 for a 15-minute ride. This one is a very quirky thing for me that I never tried because I saw my cousin almost stumbled upon riding it. Though Sandra enjoyed it very much and even took an extra minute strolling around. Just a caution though – please be careful and watch after your kiddos as this may look easy but it’s tricky.
Aside from that you may also enjoy the zip line and some more rides for the kids.
For little girls, being treated like a princess is all they want – so why not let them try the majestic carousels also housed by MOA by the bay. It is one of the biggest carousels I’ve ever seen with 2 floors and many options to ride, like Cinderella’s Carriage and the vintage seats, the Pony and horses.
This place is good for taking photos too; the ambiance is really amusing as it should be. I would always like this place for the kids being more embracive to outdoor activities and for once taking them away from the not so nice time playing with electronic gadgets.
Time’s up! All good and tired and hungry, but don’t you worry there are food stalls around so you can feed your self just right and there. :P
It was my first time on the eye last month, too! Ganda noh? Wish it went on for more than one round, though :(
