Affordable stay in boracay station 1
It's almost over a year now since I stepped down on one of the most visited beach in the world. And yet, the memories and the experience were still so fresh to my senses. Browsing through the web is really challenging in looking for a place to stay because the photos of most site (giving exceptions to luxury hotels of course which is so much expensive to assure you that what you see is what you'll get) are extremely deceiving.
It took me some time to actually choose the best place with the best price. I originally book a hotel in Station 1 - beach front. Reason: We decided to visit the place to experience its view and wonders, excluding the crowd and party since Manila has a lot of it - and its not in our type:), making the two other station which actually offer most of the cheapest accommodation not an option for us. Unfortunately, the reservation was mistakenly booked with an incorrect date. I appreciate the hotel's (Resedencia de Boracay) willingness to accommodate us despite of the mistake, but the rooms are all accommodated and only left those expensive suits which means that if we choose to stay it will eat all our budget.
We left the hotel with little worries that we might find it hard to look for a place since it is holiday season. We stick to our plan of staying in Station !. And fortunately, we found a place for us. Thanks to one local who lead us to that place ;) even if he offered me some activity package after he helped us. Hehe.
The hotel name is Mr. Holidays. It is a small hotel found in Boracay Station 1, on the left side of the famous Discovery Hotel. Mr. Holidays is at the beach front and the building that time is newly built making it look at its pristine state. When we step in, the front desk personnel immediately assist us on finding a room base on our needs. We actually need not the cheapest, we need a comfortable room for our two night stay. I want it clean and silent. I hate smells and busted toilets to be specific. Worst is I can't pay more than what we allotted.
Mr. Holidays offers I exactly what we just need. The room we had had cost us 3,000.00 per night with free breakfast for two. I found it reasonable, the staffs are helpful and very accommodating (they are even awake late to serve us coffee), the place is clean, the room is maintained, we had a nice bathroom - you can see that :), the room has all our basic needs.
Time had past now before I was able to share this, rates might had already changed so well as the ambiance - but given the experience I would still suggest that you can consider this place to be on your list of choices :). Hope you will have your perfect holiday soon like we did last time :).

A nice bathroom is always important in any hotel or resort. Thanks for sharing this :) The price seems reasonable to me too.
ReplyDeleteThank you Pepper for dropping buy :). For me its a must lol - and yeah i find the price very reasonable.
DeleteStation 3 offers a lot more cheaper hotels and resorts compare to station 1 and 2. But still you did a great job in choosing this hotel for your stay. It's very nice
ReplyDeleteThanks, I agree station 3 offers most low priced accomodation compare to station 1 and 2 - I haven't tried one though. Maybe nest time :)
Deletehi i am currently looking for a place to stay in boracay for feb 2014 pa naman. :) just want to ask about the location of Mr. Holidays -- are there restaurants/ food kiosks near the area? how far is it from D Mall? thank you!
ReplyDeleteMr. Holidays Station 1 beside Discovery, in front there is a Moroccan food house and bar, I believe masarap dun - I caught some plublic figures na dun many times. For a cheaper options, there are two small food store their where you could also dine. From D'mall it’s around 10-15 minutes’ walk - I guess, tas pag tricycle naman less than 5 minutes.
DeleteOnly disadvantage of this place is that you need to walk a bit to get into the main road where you can ride a tricycle to D'mall. =) hope that helps.
Great deal for a comfortable stay! If you happen to visit Boracay again, you can try Boracay Hotel Packages \. Hope that helps
