Grill Republic: Super Monster Burger
My last two weeks had been very exhausting so girls on my shoe deserve a huge treat.
Last Sunday after a girl event that I attended, Jac and I together with my sisters went our way to Republic Grill and our main goal is to experience their SUPER Monster Burger.
Jac, Charlotte and Leah are huge fan of burgers and sandwiches so I am excited for them. We arrived at the place with only few diners which I loved and I bet it’s because it’s Sunday. So here we are with the huge monster burger! 10 inch in diameter and between the large buns is a 2.1 pound patty with lots of cheese and some vegies!!
And started taking our first bite!
The burger was served with an Ice tea.
Quite a shame for us because when the Iced tea was served we noticed the egg like thing floating – we thought of a caviar! But nuh-a I guess it’s impossible to have a caviar on an iced tea and I’m pretty sure it’s not after I tasted it. I have my full bet if that was a seed of a fruit but I forgot to ask so I am still wondering.
At first we thought that the burger wasn’t enough so we were tempted to order Jac’s favorite tocino. I know it’s quite in appropriate to have it for a dinner but believe me when I say that we really don’t have eating time as most of you do. Our meals were terribly distracted by our grave yard shifts so we are used of having our breakfast at night when everyone is enjoying their dinners; taking a lunch at dawn and dinner at the morning. Merienda goes whatever time we want.
Okay so that time we have the burger, a pitcher of iced tea and a Breakfast Tocino meal which cost us 1000.00 plus all in all but ended up bloated.
The burger was very huge for us and generally it was good! We just wish that the patty was cooked with a size that fit at least 90 percent of the buns diameter. I liked the iced tea and those things in there; the Tocino was also good (I can’t say it was great).
The place was clean and the nice wide view from our table helped us to enjoy our food. If I am going back I guess I would still choose to stay at the second level because I felt it to have a nicer view and better ambiance compared with the lower level. They also have rooms for group of I guess 3-6 persons.
For those who want to try their monster burger, have a monster burger eating contest just check with them at their website at Grillrepublic.com. They are located at Metrowalk just a block or two from Yohoo BBQ and Mugen.
